Q. My bathroom is old and falling apart; why should I reglaze oppose to replacing the tub and tiles?
A. Reglazing brings out the beauty within! Working with the existing tile and tub; your bathroom will look brand –new within a few short hours for a fraction of the cost of remodeling. You don’t have to mess with plumbers, contractors, or tile installers whose promises always fall short. Remodeling takes weeks if not months and ends up costing a fortune.

Reglazing vs. Liners
Q. Why should I choose Reglazing over Liners?

A. Reglazing only affects the surface of the tub and tile walls of the bathroom. We work with the fixtures that are there, restoring them to their original shine and beauty. Liners add a layer on top of tub/tile covering up the problem. There is potential for water leaking in between the two surfaces causing mold and mildew to develop.

Q. Why should I buy a shower door opposed to a shower curtain?
A. Finishing your bathroom with a custom made enclosure adds style and efficiency to your bathroom. The glass doors keep the water from traveling all over your bathroom; preventing leaks and water damage. An enclosure also finishes your bathroom with a high-end designer look that your shouldn’t be without.

Q. What are the differences between framed, frameless and semi-frameless?

A. A framed enclosure has an aluminum frame around the glass panels and side jams / tracks / headers that keep the unit together. All frames are made of high grade aluminum specially treated to withstand water and steam. Frames are available in many designer finishes with different glass options for you to choose from. Price-wise, a framed unit is the most cost efficient. Semi-Frameless shower door has frameless ¼” glass panel that are held together with side jams / tracks / headers that are thinner than the framed units. This option almost has the look of a high-end frameless enclosure, but for a more affordable price. The semi-frameless units are available in many designer finishes with different glass options for you to choose from.
Frameless unit has glass panels that are attached together with small bracket / hinges and thin u-channels (only when needed). This option is the most customizable. The hardware is available in almost any finish making it easy to match your accessories in the bathroom. Glass can be 3/8” or ¼” thick, and can be acid etched or designed to your specific taste.
A frameless door is the most high-end option, giving your bathroom a glamorous look.

Q . Do they use high quality products?

A. Redecor Shower & Bath Corp. uses only the best products in the industry: TOPKOTE™ products. All the different step/products used are custom made and chemically balanced to ensure the best results. The main ingredient in the glaze’s composition in Urethane- making it more durable and flexible than epoxy based paints. It won’t yellow or peel. Also all our enclosures are from top of the line companies that are in the business for many years, and are known for their high quality products.

Q . Do I have to use the same old color?

A. No. With our reglazing process we can match any fixture's color or you can choose from a spectrum of designer colors.

Q. Will it look painted?

A. Most definitely not! Once the finish dries it will look like brand new. All surfaces will be evenly coated and smooth, free of old chips, scratches and dust. It will have the luster and look of a new fixture. In fact most people will have a difficult time telling the difference between a new tub and a refinished one.

Q . How long does the whole process take?

A. Reglazing a bathtub takes just a few hours. We can reglaze your entire bathroom in less than a day.The new finish will dry and be ready for your use in 24 hours - not 48, 72 or more hours like some other materials.

Q . Is reglazing safe for my family, pets and home?

A. Yes. Although not order-free, it is safe for everyone. Our positive ventilation system removes any dust or overspray immediately from the areas. In addition, we cover and protect all adjacent fixtures and surfaces .

Q . How long will my new finish last?

A . With proper care, your new TopKote™ Reglazing finish should last 10 - 15 years or longer.
